Future home of the collected writings of John Edward Mack, M.D. (October 4, 1929 - Sep 27, 2004), professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer.
The Hanns Sachs Library at 15 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston holds a valuable collection of historic and contemporary psychoanalytic literature and over 90 bound journals and current periodicals. The collection includes standard psychoanalytic references, biographies and histories, correspondences, Freud's writings, and works on child analysis. Works written by contemporary scholars and clinicians expanding the range of psychoanalytic thought and practice are continually added to the library's holdings.
